HOSPICE DOCTOR – ST. JOHN’S HOSPICE
2 days, Thursday and Friday (0.4WTE) per week, permanent Salary will be based on the NHS Specialty Doctor scale, according to qualifications and experience:
£45,124 – £77,519 and additional payments for first on-call
This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to be part of a specialist multi disciplinary team focused on the delivery of high-quality specialist palliative and end of life care in St John’s Hospice, Doncaster.
We are seeking to recruit a doctor to work closely with the multi-professional team to help ensure the continuity of high-quality care for Hospice In-patients (10 beds) and patients attending the Day Hospice, when required. We seek a doctor with a good general medical experience but a passion for palliative care. We are committed to training and supporting the right individual.
Applicants must be able to commit to 2 day (4 sessions) a week and participate in the hospice inpatient first on-call rota. The post will be working each Thursday and Friday (Friday could be flexed/changed to Monday) in the hospice inpatient unit, covering non-residential first on-call one night per week and one weekend per calendar month.
Full GMC registration is required. You will have excellent general clinical and communication skills. You will work well within a multi-disciplinary team and have a proven interest in palliative medicine and end of life care.
