Doncaster has been selected as a Wave One site for the National Neighbourhood Health Programme – an ambitious NHS England initiative to reimagine local care. The application, shaped collaboratively by system partners and with active input from Doncaster LMC, reflects a bold vision rooted in equity, digital inclusion, and community-led innovation.
As the programme moves forward, the LMC continues to represent the full breadth of primary care—including dentistry, pharmacy, and optometry—with their explicit consent. We’re helping ensure that frontline voices remain central to the design and delivery of neighbourhood health.
A draft proposal exploring deeper integration is already in circulation, hinting at new models of partnership and governance. While nothing is agreed yet, the energy around this work is real – and growing.
