When a registered patient dies and they are de-registered from a Practice.

Primary Care Contractors are no longer at liberty to access and amend the medical record unless compelled by legitimate  legal reason.

The electronic health record remains stored in the cloud.  The last registered practice remain data controllers for this record.

Where access is required by law, the last registered medical practitioner can access the cloud record to fulfil their legal obligation.



Care of the Lloyd George medical record of the deceased is currently in the remit of Primary Care Support England.
